Credit Cards, my experience part two
I haven’t been unfortunate enough to be so behind on paying credit cards that people have been knocking on the door, and I’m hoping it stays that way.
Almost everyone older than me has said that its a mistake that everyone makes at my age, which might be true, but its a mistake people my age need to stop making. It doesn’t help you at all, it just causes a massive headache, and your left paying for it for a long, long time.
Because I have to pay so much out every month, most times I end up with no money, so then what do I use until I next get paid? Yep, a credit card. I’m pretty much stuck in a seemingly never ending circle. I will get out of it one day, at the minute I am paying off credit cards more than the interest I’m being charged.
So one day I will get there, its just not going to be anytime soon. In the meantime I’m not going to be able to do a lot of things because of my mistake of getting all this credit and all of this debt. So if anyone reading this doesn’t have a credit card yet, don’t get one.
You may have a few hundred pounds more to spend now, but you’ll get stuck in a routine of thinking its okay to use it. You’ll fool yourself into thinking you can deal with the interest and minimum payments. Then you’ll find yourself applying for another credit card, just like I did. Then the credit card world would have claimed another victim.
From someone who has stupidly took it a bit too far, stay away from credit cards. I can guarantee you will end up with more money if you don’t, because you would be earning interest on savings, rather than paying interest on credit cards. I wish I didn’t. I so wish I had listened to everyone that was warning me against it, because my stupidity has truly fucked me over, and will continue to do so for years to come, when I finally make that last payment, if it ever happens. Knowing my luck ill get another credit card just to pay off the ones I already have. So yeah, don’t do it, for your own sake…
